We Spent the Last 3 Months Testing the Best Dark Circle Solutions

With persistent under-eye issues such as dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, and crow's feet, we set out to find the top 5 dark circle solutions known for revitalizing tired eyes. Dark circles can be incredibly stubborn to treat

At first, people mostly relied on concealer and makeup to hide them. Now, there's everything from eye creams to patches to high-tech devices.

As dark circles become more noticeable with age, stress, and lack of sleep, you may have sought different ways to brighten up your under-eyes. However, an in-office filler treatment could cost as much as $800 per session, depending on your location. Since quick fixes are never a one-and-done deal, it only makes sense to find an effective solution you can use to achieve lasting results at home.

We tested 25 dark circle treatments including creams from RoC, patches from Summer Fridays, and devices from CurrentBody.

Then we rated the 5 best options based on the following criteria:

Cost
We found some great results with solutions that cost less than $100. In fact, our top pick was one of the most affordable options!

Results
We used these products regularly to determine how long it would take to present noticeable results for reducing dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines.

Ease of Use
Products that could be easily incorporated into daily routines scored higher in our testing.

Safe for At-Home Use
Every product on our list is dermatologist approved and safe for regular home use.

Why Dermatologists Chose EyeLumen as the Best Dark Circle Solution

$79.99* USD

We absolutely loved EyeLumen, a revolutionary device that has garnered a huge following. Right now, it's 50% off too, making it the most affordable of the effective dark circle treatments. This device doesn't just temporarily mask problems like most creams and patches—it actually addresses the root causes of dark circles and puffiness.

We used it every day for just 10 minutes as EyeLumen suggests. It was effortless and comfortable, all the while working on ridding us of dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. And no wonder it works so well... It has 630nm red light therapy combined with EMS microcurrent technology to help you address dark circles, puffiness, crow's feet, and fine lines at the source.

In the end, we couldn't get over how bright, youthful, and refreshed it left our eyes! The results are truly professional grade. And at 50% off, that means it's only $79.95. But hurry, you'll need to order it today to get it at this amazingly low price.

Title

RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream

$24.99 USD

RoC promises visible reduction in dark circles and wrinkles in 4 weeks. Well, when it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Maybe if you use it for longer than we tested it for, but in 12 weeks of twice-daily application, not much had really changed with our dark circles.

We did see some improvement in fine lines, but for dark circles? Not the miracle we were hoping for. It's affordable at $24.99, but when it comes to stubborn dark circles, we weren't impressed with the results.

Title

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Eye Patches

$29 USD

Summer Fridays does have trendy packaging and great reviews.

It's also realistic with expectations, stating you'll get temporary hydration and de-puffing. While we did like how it improved the appearance of our under-eyes for a few hours, the effects were extremely short-lived—our dark circles returned as soon as the patches came off.

Additionally, at $29 for just 6 pairs, the price adds up quickly when you need ongoing treatment. These are best saved for special occasions, not daily dark circle treatment.

Title

CurrentBody Skin LED Eye Perfector

$249 USD

CurrentBody has some stellar reviews and was even used by celebrities like Lucas Bravo from 'Emily in Paris.'

Maybe we'd name it our second favorite on the list as it does have a comfortable fit and shows some promising results for wrinkles, but for dark circles specifically, the results were underwhelming. And at this price, which was $249, we felt a bit of sticker-shock.

Why pay more when you can get better results for less than $100.00? That's what we thought!

Title

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG

$8.70 USD

This budget option definitely brings the ingredients dark circles need—caffeine and EGCG from green tea. It looks so simple too, something dermatologists would recommend for basic care.

We definitely liked this wallet-friendly serum, but we simply can't justify recommending it as a complete solution. While it helps somewhat with puffiness, it barely made a dent in our dark circles even after 8 weeks of regular use.

So, while it is incredibly affordable at just $8.70, you get what you pay for with this one.
